カルティエ賞

カルティエ賞（Cartier Award）は、ヨーロッパにおける競馬の年度代表表彰である。1991年に、カルティエをスポンサーとしてエクリプス賞に倣う形で創設された。各賞の受賞馬は欧州重賞競走のポイント、イギリスの競馬記者の投票、英紙レーシングポストとデイリー・テレグラフの読者投票のポイント合計で決定される[1]。

授賞式は、例年11月に行われる。そのため、現状ではジャパンカップや香港国際競走、さらには投票時期的な意味ではブリーダーズカップの結果を無視する形となっており、授賞式の時期の再考をめぐる議論もある[誰によって?]。
