English: Nagamasa Yamada (1590-1630) was a well-known figure in the early Edo period (1603-1868) who came to Thailand from Japan. It is believed that Nakhon Si Thammarat is the place where Nagamasa Yamada died, and a Japanese-style garden has been established in the park at Nakhon Si Thammarat, where a monument commemorating Nagamasa Yamada has been installed as a sign of friendship between Japan and Thailand.
