Based at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, during ‘Desert Storm’ in 1991. Ended the campaign carrying 39 mission symbols.
Modified in 1993 to a GR.1B, capable of carrying Sea Eagle anti-shipping missile.
Later flew in Operation Desert Fox in 1998, based at Ali Al Salem, Kuwait.
Retired in March 2002 and stored at St Athan. Moved to Hendon in July 2003 and remains on display, in 617sqn markings, in the Bomber Command Hall at the RAF Museum, Hendon, London, UK.
