ロバート・フェレル

ロバート・フェレル（Robert H. Ferrell, 1921年 - 2018年 8月8日）は、アメリカ合衆国の歴史学者。専門は、アメリカ史・アメリカ政治外交史。インディアナ大学名誉教授。

略歴編集

第二次世界大戦から朝鮮戦争までの期間、米陸軍航空隊に勤務。1946年ボーリンググリーン州立大学卒業、1948年イェール大学大学院修士課程修了。1951年歴史学博士の学位を取得。

1953年からインディアナ大学ブルーミントン校助教授を務め、1974年より同校教授を務めた。ハリー・トルーマンの研究者として知られ、研究書とトルーマンの私文書類を整理した史料集を多数編纂・公刊している。

2018年8月8日に死去。97歳没^[1]。
