Mark your first lines lightly and havethe head one-fourth the entire height of the figure. Drawingthe head of a figure just four times the height—as if dividing it—is called getting a figure in the proportion of four heads.This is the right proportion in which to draw pictures of veryyoung children such as those on these two pages.
