5歳からニューヨーク市で育つ[2][3][4]。ロックバンドバッド・カンパニーや フリーの元ドラマーであったサイモン・カークの娘[5]。母のロレイン・カーク (旧姓デラル)はテレビシリーズ『セックス・アンド・ザ・シティ』に数々の衣装を供与したヴィンテージブティックジェミノラの所有者[5][6][7]。 父はイングランド系、スコットランド系[8]。母方の祖父ジャック・デラルはイラク系ユダヤ人の英国実業家、そしてカークの母方の祖母はイスラエル人[9][10]。二人の姉妹ジェマイマやドミノがいる。キュレーターアレクサンダー・デラルやモデルアリス・デラルのいとこ。 2012年にバード大学を卒業[3]。
ノア・バームバックの『ミストレス・アメリカ』やアマゾン・スタジオのテレビシリーズ『Mozart in the Jungle』で知られる、また、デヴィッド・フィンチャーの『ゴーン・ガール』での助演の役でも知られている。
