木内 裕也（きうち ゆうや、1980年6月23日 - ）は、埼玉県富士見市出身のアメリカ研究者、サッカー審判員、同時通訳者、会議通訳者、放送通訳者、翻訳者。現在はミシガン州在住。ミシガン州立大学助教。

ミシガン州立大学アメリカ研究博士号取得。国際会議、企業間交渉、テレビ放送などでの同時通訳ならびに実務翻訳を中心に活動。バラック・オバマ大統領候補の自伝、マイ・ドリームの翻訳者。アフリカ系アメリカ人の歴史と文化を学術専門分野としてデトロイトやボストンなどで研究を行う。

ミシガン州立大学では、アメリカ研究、大衆文化の授業を担当。上智大学で通訳講座を担当した経歴も持つ。TOEIC、TOEFLで満点、英検1級など主要な英語資格検定で最高峰の記録を持つ[1]。

学歴 編集

  • 上智大学外国語学部英語学科に受験し、合格。1999年4月に入学。
国際ロータリー青少年交換留学生として1年間フランスに派遣される。
  • 2002年～2003年にはボストンカレッジに留学。
  • フランスに留学していた1年間を休学したため、5年後の2004年3月に卒業。
同年9月にマサチューセッツ大学ボストン校アメリカ研究修士課程に入学。
  • 2006年にアメリカ研究修士号を取得。
同年9月にミシガン州立大学アメリカ研究博士課程入学。
  • 2009年にアメリカ研究博士号を取得。
博士論文のテーマは、ボストンとデトロイト在住のアフリカ系アメリカ人によるケーブルテレビを使った公民権運動の歴史[2]。

通訳歴、翻訳歴 編集

会議・放送通訳者としては国際会議、企業間の交渉、テレビの生中継などを中心に活動。

  • 通訳
1997年に長野県軽井沢町で開催されたカーリング世界大会、1998年の長野オリンピックで語学ボランティアをしたことで、通訳者を目指すようになる。
普通は国際展示会のブース付き通訳や、アテンド通訳でデビューするのが一般的であり、同時通訳でデビューするのは異例。
  • その後、歯学、放送などの分野で通訳の経験を積み、現在は会議通訳者、放送通訳者として、日本だけでなく海外でも活躍[3]。ビジネス書、自己啓発書などの翻訳を行った後、バラック・オバマ大統領候補の自伝、Dreams from my Father（日本語タイトル：マイ・ドリーム）を翻訳。その後、オバマ大統領関連書籍の翻訳を担当。

学術関連 編集

アメリカ研究博士。ミシガン州立大学助教。

  • 特にアフリカ系アメリカ人の歴史、メディア史などが専門。アメリカ研究、アフリカ系アメリカ研究、メディア研究などの分野で、35を超える学会での発表経験を持つ
  • 人種や性別のアイデンティティーがメディアや大衆文化との接触を通してどう形成され、変化するか、そしてその変化が逆にメディアや文化に与える影響なども研究テーマの1つ。
  • ミシガン州立大学では黒人史の授業に加え、テクノロジーが若者文化に与える影響、テクノロジーと人格形成などの授業を学部生並びに学院生を対象に教鞭をとる。[4]
  • 現在はミシガン州立大学におけるHuman Development and Family Studies学科のオンライン大学院プログラムのディレクター。

サッカー審判 編集

アメリカのサッカープロリーグで活躍した審判員。日本サッカー協会認定元1級審判員。アメリカサッカー連盟1級審判インストラクター。

  • 2007年、2008年にフロリダで行われたU17の北米大会決勝戦で2年連続で主審を務め、2008年、2009年の国際大会ダラスカップなど、プロリーグから各種国際大会まで、主要な大会で審判を務める[5]。
  • 2015年～2020年は日本サッカー協会認定の1級審判員として活動。
  • 2020年より、アメリカサッカー連盟の1級審判インストラクターに任命。アメリカサッカー連盟管轄のプロ、アマチュアの国際・国内試合において審判員のパフォーマンスを評価すると同時に、アメリカサッカー連盟登録審判員の指導を行う。
  • 2020年より、ミシガン州サッカー審判委員会委員。指導育成部長。
  • 2021年より、日本人初のPRO (Professional Referee Organization)　 審判アセッサーに任命され、MLS（男子プロ1部）、NWSL（女子プロ1部）の審判員のアセッサーとして活動。PROアセッサーは全米で30名のみ。

その他活動 編集

マサチューセッツ州認定の救急救命士。

  • 修士課程に通いながら2004年にマサチューセッツ州の救急救命士学校に通い、資格を取得。ボストンマラソンではゴール直前にショック状態に陥ったランナーを助ける。
  • 2007年4月には学会で訪れたボストンから、自宅のあるミシガンへのフライト中に心肺異常を起こした搭乗客の手当てを行う[6]。
