エギロプス属
エギロプス属（エギロプスぞく、Aegilops、Ægilops）は、イネ科に分類される植物の属である[1]。タルホコムギ属あるいはヤギムギ属とも呼ばれる[2]。およそ23の種と数多くの亜種が本属に分類されている。この属の様々な種は農業雑草に分類されている。冬を通じて生長し、フユコムギと似ている。様々な種類のコムギと交雑できるため、コムギ属 (Triticum) に分類されることもある。

タルホコムギ (Aegilops tauschii Coss.; syn. Aegilops squarrosa auct. non L.) はDゲノムを持つパンコムギ（Triticum aestivum、ゲノムAABBDD）の祖先種としてコムギの遺伝学において重要である。
Aegilopsという単語は8文字全てがアルファベット順に並んでいる。学名Aegilopsは古代ギリシャ語で芒のある草の一種を意味するαἰγίλωψ (aigilops) 由来のラテン語aegilopsから来ている。
