カレンダーの変更 編集

イギリスグランプリはシルバーストンから新たに建設されるサーキット・オブ・ウェールズで開催される予定であったが、新サーキットはまだ建設されていない[18]。2つのサーキットは、シルバーストンが2017年までイギリスグランプリを開催し、2018年の開催はオプションと言うことで合意した[11]。

テクニカルレギュレーション 編集

  • 1999年から導入されたウィングレットなどの空力付加物は、安全を考慮して2017年シーズン全面禁止となった[50]。

スポーティングレギュレーション 編集

  • ライダーがピットストップでバイクを乗り換える際、補助するメカニックは4名に限定される。この際メカニックは認証されたヘルメットを着用しなければならない。メカニックはクラッチレバーを保持してもよいが、ライダーだけがギアを選択することができる[51]。

  • パオロ・シモンチェリのチーム、SIC58スクアドラ・コルセがMoto3にデビューする。マシンはホンダ・NSF250RW、ライダーはトニー・アルボリーノと鈴木竜生[84]。
  • 3570 チーム・イタリアはMoto3を撤退、スーパースポーツ300世界選手権に転向する。
  • RW レーシング GP BV はMoto3からMoto2に転向する。
  • AGRチームは前年までMoto2に2台体制で参戦していたが、今シーズンはMoto2とMoto3にそれぞれ1台体制で参戦する。
  • レオパード・レーシングとスカイ・レーシングチーム VR46は2016年シーズンを3台体制で戦ったが、今シーズンは2台体制となる。
