楽曲解説

1. MEET ME TONIGHT
   • ビートルズエイジが非常に懐かしく感じるようなメロディラインを意識して制作された楽曲。
2. TRUE SOMEBODY
   • ブリティッシュ・ロックを意識して制作された楽曲だが、ベーシックなリズムラインは、モータウンのリズムを取り入れている。
3. WONDER CITY
   • 1982年に、ワンダーシティ・オーケストラ名義で発売されたアルバム『INFORMATION』に収録されている同名楽曲のセルフカバー。改めて収録するにあたり、歌詞をすべて変更したうえでレコーディングされた。
4. HOLLY'S ISLAND
   • 「東洋的なメロディラインとラテン的なサウンドをドッキングさせたらどうなるか」という意識で作った楽曲。タイトルの『HOLLY'S』は、今回のアルバムに参加したドラマーのスティーヴ・ホリーと、聖なる夜という意味である「Holly Night」からとった。
5. MARIA
   • 元々シングル用に制作した楽曲で、久石いわくバラード路線を意識しているという。
6. MIDNIGHT CRUISING
   • クールなハードボイルドを意識して制作された楽曲。
7. ALL DAY PRETENDER
   • アルバムタイトル曲。久石いわく、自分の原点的な楽曲と語っている。
8. MANHATTAN STORY
9. VIEW OF SILENCE
   • ニューヨーク・フィルハーモニックと共演した楽曲。
