オランダの写真家
イワン・バーン（Iwan Baan、1975年2月8日 - ）[1] はオランダ・アルクマール生まれの写真家。

建築物の建つ周辺の環境やそこで行われる人々の営みをあえて写し込む撮影手法で知られる。従来の「建築写真」は静的な建築物そのものだけを描写することを長年の伝統としてきたが、イワン・バーンはそれを変革し、建築物の持つ物語や空気感、その建築物がどのように使われているかを表現することを試みている。これまでレム・コールハースや伊東豊雄といった世界的な有名建築家の優れた建築作品を撮影。世界で最も広く出版された写真家の一人である。イワン・バーンの撮る「多義的な」スナップ写真はダイアン・アーバスの作品とよく比較される。
2010年、イワン・バーンは20世紀で最も有名な建築写真家ジュリアス・シャルマンの名前を冠した写真賞を受賞。2012年にはベネチア建築ビエンナーレで最優秀インスタレーションに贈られる金獅子賞。同年、ハリケーン・サンディが直撃し停電となったニューヨーク・マンハッタン42番街で暗闇の中に鮮やかに光る小さな屋台の写真が、ニューヨーク・シティ・マガジンの表紙に採用された。この写真はのちに限定プリントとして発売され、売り上げはサンディの犠牲者への慈善金として使われた。2016年にはアメリカ建築家協会のステファン・A・クライメント・オキュラス賞を受賞した。
