確かに
"without altitude control (WAC)"
との記載がありましたが、「こちらのほうが比較的有力である」という内容の記載はなく、独自研究になるのでは？
ちなみに現在の英語版では
"The earliest public reports of the WAC designation are a series of Aviation Week articles, which seem to support "Women's Army Corps" being the derivation of the acronym."
