English: The first issue of Ukawagō hō (1936), or the Local Bulitten of Ukawa district, north of Kyōto. The locality was famous for sending out "tōji", or seasonal laborors since the 1770s, during winter. They were commissioned by those sake rice wine manufacturers in present day Fushimi, Kyōto and Nada, Hyōgo; tōji from Ukawa included both labor hands as well as the chief responsible for each batch of sake. See 丹後杜氏 or wikidata (Tango tōji) for details.
