This payphone was a Consignment Payphone, and used to be equipped at many places like stations, shopping malls, amusement parks, stores, etc. In 1995, NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Co., Ltd. discontinued all the old styles of Payphone colors in Red, Yellow and Blue, and those payphone replaced to Green of Gray Telephone Card payphone.
