概要

New Zealand’s first official television transmission was broadcast on Auckland’s Channel Two in 1960. In 1961 Black and White moving images were also streamed into homes of those in Christchurch and Wellington. Viewers in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch were introduced to the wonders of colour television on 31 October, 1973. Colour transmissions were extended to Waikato and Dunedin in 1974, and throughout the whole country by late 1977. Caption: A colour television test at the Mount Kaukau transmitting station.
