This is a composite airframe consisting of the fuselage of Avro 504K 'G-EBJE' c/n 927, with the wings of Avro 548A 'G-EBKN / E449'.
Both aircraft fell out of use in the early 1930's and one set of stored components, the same ones seen today, were acquired by Mr Nash for his collection.
In the mid 1960's the components were restored to airworthy condition but only flew once.
It moved to the RAF Museum in 1971 and other than a brief visit to RAF Scampton in 1987, it has remained there since.
On display in the WW1 exhibition / Grahame-White Hangar.
RAF Museum, Hendon, London, UK.
