Introduced, hairless herb, with ascending or decumbent branches to 80 cm long. Leaves are succulent, petiolate, obovate, mostly 6–8 cm long, pinnatisect with 2–4 pairs of lobes or entire; upper leaves reducing. Flowerheads are racemes. Flowers have white to purple petals. Fruits are 2-segmented siliculas 12–27 mm long. The lower segment of the fruit is almost as wide as the upper, and bears 2 lateral blunt horns towards its apex. Flowering occurs throughout the year. A native of Europe and Africa, it is widespread along the coast and islands south from the lower mid north coast of NSW.
