English: Lance Cpl. Tranquilla McGee (top) practices the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program with his partner Cpl. Nicholas W. Alexie (bottom). Both McGee and Alexie are administrative clerks with 3rd Bn., 23 Marines, and they spend their off-time on the mat practicing MCMAP. MCMAP works in a succession of belt levels beginning at tan and progressing through gray, green, brown and black. Since arriving to 3rd Bn., 23rd Marines as a tan belt, McGee has earned his gray and green belt. McGee says once he returns home he is going to continue with MCMAP and obtain his brown belt. |
