The Ohka (Cherry Blossom) was a rocket-powered human-guided kamikaze attack aircraft, of which 852 were built in the final years of WW2.
This is one of four brought to the UK for evaluation in 1945. It was previously on display at the Royal Aircraft Establishment Rocket Propulsion Research Establishment at Westcott, but came to Cosford in 1976 and has remained here ever since.
It is currently on display in the ‘War in the Air’ hangar.
