マッキム・マリオット
マッキム・マリオット(McKim Marriott)は、アメリカの人類学者。1955年にシカゴ大学で博士号を取得。
マリオットは、アジアの村人や都市生活者、日本を含むアジアの専門家を研究してきた。彼は、しばしば人々を理解する上で障害となる西洋のカテゴリーを批判し、異なる文化的現実を研究するための代替モデルを考案した[1][2][3][4][5][6]。
