ヴィック・ヘイズ

ヴィック・ヘイズ（Victor "Vic" Hayes、1941年7月31日 - ）は、インドネシアのエンジニア、デルフト工科大学の研究者。

ワイヤレスローカルエリアネットワークのためのIEEE 802.11標準作業グループの設立と議長としての役割から、「Wi-Fiの父」と呼ばれることもある。

受賞歴・栄誉

• 1998年：IEEE標準化協会よりIEEE 802.11規格の国際化に対してStandards Medallionを受賞。
• 2000年: IEEE Leadership Award 「IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN Working Group のオーナーとしての 10 年間に渡るリーダーシップと並外れた献身に対して」。
• 2001年：IEEE Computer SocietyのHans Karlsson Standards Awardを受賞。
• 2002年：Wi-Fi Alliance Leadership Award「Wi-Fi Alliance Regulatory Committeeの優れたリーダーシップを称えて」。
• 2003年：Wi-Fi Alliance Leadership Award 「規制委員長としての優れたリーダーシップとWi-Fi Allianceの継続的な支援に対して」 。
• 2004年：『エコノミスト』誌のコミュニケーション部門でイノベーション賞を受賞。
