堀雄一朗
堀 雄一朗（ほり ゆういちろう、1973年 - ）は、ステラワークスの創設者兼CEO。ステラワークスは、上海に本社かつ生産拠点を置き、ロンドン、ニューヨーク、東京にオフィスを持つ家具ブランド。[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]
経歴
編集1973年 堀雄一朗は、商社を経営する父・美喜雄と、デコパージュ作家であり、日本におけるデコパージュアートの先駆者であった母・ひろみの間に生まれる。
1997年 立教大学卒業（金融学専攻）。総合商社の丸紅株式会社に入社。海外開発部門でジャカルタの住宅プロジェクト、フィリピンの工業団地とホテルの開発プロジェクトなどを担当。
1999年 同社にて、上海の住宅開発事業会社へ異動。宅地開発を担当し、プロジェクトマネージャーとして上海市内の建築、インテリアのプロジェクトを統括。家具のデザインに興味を持つきっかけとなる。
キャリアとステラワークスの立ち上げ
編集上海での駐在で中国の発展の可能性を感じた堀は、2002年に丸紅を退職し2004年に現在の会社を起業。ステラワークスの前身となる、フュージョン・トレーディング社を設立し、家具の貿易を開始。
製品の品質に満足できなかった堀は、自社工場を設立する為フランスの名門家具メーカーLaval社と提携を開始し、2008年に上海に家具工場「Furniture Labo」を設立。
2012年には自社家具ブランド「ステラワークス」を立ち上げ、同年ミラノサローネにて家具コレクションを発表。
現在に至るまで、世界中の大規模なホテル、レストランなどのホスピタリティ・プロジェクトに家具を提供。Wallpaper* Design Awards 2017をはじめ、数々の賞を受賞している。
Stellar Works USA（2017年）、Stellar Works Japan（2017年）、Stellar Works UK（2018年）を設立。
2018年には、ロンドン、2019年にはニューヨークにショールームをオープン。
2019年には、ノマドなライフスタイルからインスピレーションを得た新しい家具とインテリアアクセサリーブランド「Departo」をカナダのデザインデュオ、ヤブ・プッシェルバーグと共に設立。
2019年9月にニューヨークで発表されたこのブランドは、現在アメリカとカナダで販売されており、他国での展開も目指している。
ステラワークスの成長
編集2012年のブランド発表後、ステラワークスはグローバル企業に成長し、中国、イギリス、アメリカ、日本にオフィスを構え、世界中に強固なディーラーネットワークを有しており、その数は現在60を超える。

編集Wallpaper、Monocle、TL Mag、Architectural Digest、Living Digestなどの世界的な報道機関からも高い評価を得ており、TL Mag、Architectural Digest、Living Etc、ELLE Decoration、Casa & Design、Bo Bedre、Australian Financial Review, Aesthetica, Design Anthology HK, IDEAT China, New York Times, Singapore Tatler Homes, Scandinavian livingなど受賞歴も多数。
