経緯 編集

『ソングス・フロム・ザ・レッド・ルーム』は本来シヴォーン・ファーイ自身の名前で『バッド・ブラッド』として2005年に発売される予定だった[1]。それから4年もの間発売されなかったが2009年にシェイクスピアズ・シスターの名義を復活させた後に同名義で同年に発売された。2010年5月11日、アルバムはボーナス・ディスクを付けてAmazon.comといった著名な小売業者の販路から発売された[2]。

シングル 編集

「ビター・ピル」はシヴォーン・ファーイ名義で2002年10月にアルバムからの第一弾シングルとして発売された。これは彼女にとってゴッド・メイド・ミー・ハードコアというレコード会社から発売した唯一のシングルであった。次の「パルセイション」は2005年2月にファーイ自身のレーベル、SFレコードから発売された。Whitey Mixでもあるアルバム・ヴァージョンはシングル・ヴァージョンと微妙にアレンジを変えており、コーラス部がカットされている。「バッド・ブラッド」は2005年10月にアルバムから3枚目のシングルとして発売され、またもやファーイの名義で発売された。「イッツ・ア・トリップ」は2010年4月にアルバムのデラックス・エディションを宣伝するために発売され、これはシェイクスピアズ・シスター名義で発売された[9]。これはシェイクスピアズ・シスター名義としては14年ぶりだった。

The Red Room Sessions 編集

2011年3月、公式サイト限定で「The Red Room Sessions」というタイトルのEPが音楽配信という形態で発売された[10] 。EPには6曲収録されており、「ソングス・フロム・ザ・レッド・ルーム」収録曲の別バージョンやデモ、後に『コズミック・ダンサー』にも収録された新曲「ネッド (Ned)」が収録。
