概要 編集

細胞はグラム陰性であり、主に桿状であり、好気性で、通常は鞭毛によって運動性を持ち、従属栄養性である。大部分の種では主要なユビキノンはQ-10であるが、一部の種ではQ-9とQ-11も少数のユビキノンとして含む。主要な極性脂質は、ホスファチジルグリセロール、ジホスファチジルグリセロール、及び糖脂質である。主要な脂肪酸は通常、C18:1 ω7c、11-メチル C18:1 ω7c、C18:1 ω6c、C18:0、C16:0 ω6c、及びC19:0 シクロω8cである。

歴史 編集

2020年に、アルファプロテオバクテリア綱の16S rRNA遺伝子配列及び分類体系の解析によりヒフォミクロビウム科（Hyphomicrobiaceae）から一部の属（Arsenicitalea、Cucumibacter、Devosia (タイプ属)、Maritalea、Methyloterrigena、Paradevosia、Pelagibacterium、及びYouhaiella）が分離され、それらの属を割り当てる先の新科としてデヴォシア科が提案された。
