ドナルド2世 (スコットランド王)
スコットランド王ドナルド2世（英語化（Anglicization）された名称）、本名Domnall mac Causantín（スコットランド・ゲール語： Dòmhnall mac Chòiseim（IPA：[ˈt̪oːvnəɫ̪ˈmaʰkˈxoːʃɪm]））[1]は、9世紀後半にピクト人の王またはアルバ王であった人物。ピクト王コンスタンティン1世（Causantín mac Cináeda）の息子であり、中期アイルランド語の詩『The Prophecy of Berchán』において「Dásachtach（=狂人）」という諡号を与えられている[2]。

ドナルドは先代のギリック（Giric mac Dúngail）の死または退位により王となった。その即位の時期は定かではないが、通常889年とされている。『アルバ王年代記（The Chronicle of the Kings of Alba）』にはこのようにある。
Doniualdus son of Constantini held the kingdom for 11 years [889–900]. The Northmen wasted Pictland at this time. In his reign a battle occurred between Danes and Scots at Innisibsolian where the Scots had victory. He was killed at Opidum Fother [modern Dunnottar] by the Gentiles.[3]

『アルバ王年代記（The Chronicle of the Kings of Alba）』では、ドナルドは従兄弟のコンスタンティン2世に継承されている。ドナルドの息子マルカム（Máel Coluim mac Domnall）は後にマルカム1世として王になった。『The Prophecy of Berchán』では、ドナルド2世とコンスタンティン2世の間に「半日主権を握るだろう」と別の王が短期間に君臨したことを示していると見られる。この裏付けと見られるものとして、『クロニコン・スコトルム』には、904年に「ピクト王イード（Ead）」が「Uí Ímair」との戦いで死亡したとされている。しかし、これは誤りであり、おそらくバーニシアの支配者アドゥヴルフ（Ædwulf I of Bernicia）のことであろうと考えられており、その死は他のアイルランドの年代記（Irish annals）では913年であったと報告されている[9]。
