テイラー・リード・マーシャル (Taylor Reed Marshall, 1978年3月29日 - ) はアメリカ人のカトリックYoutuber[1]であり、元米国聖公会司祭であり、元は学者であったが、現在ではカトリック聖伝主義の唱導者として知られている。彼は2019年にベストセラー入りした Infiltration : The Plot to Destroy the Church from Within （潜入：カトリック教会を内部より破壊する陰謀、未邦訳）をはじめとする多数の著作がある。

2023年5月14日、マーシャルは自身のYouTubeチャンネルのショート動画にて、2024年アメリカ合衆国大統領選挙への出馬の意向を表明した[2][3]。

学歴および聖公会司祭として 編集

マーシャルはテキサスA&M大学で哲学の学士号(BA)をスンマ・クム・ラウデで取得した[4]。 ウェストミンスター神学校とNashotah Houseで学んだ後、2006年にマーシャルはフォートワースの聖公会司教である Jack Ikerにより聖公会の司祭として叙任された[5][6]。マーシャルは以前より聖公会の執事として Saint Andrew's Episcopal Churchの青年担当教職者として務めていた[7]。

それから間もなくして、2006年に彼は妻と共にカトリックに改宗した[8]。2009年にマーシャルはダラス大学で哲学の修士号(MA)を、2011年には同大で哲学の博士号(Ph. D.)を取得した[4][9]。

2012年1月から2013年6月まで、マーシャルは現在は廃校している College of Saints John Fisher & Thomas More（英語版） の総長を務めた[10][11]。大学での管理職に就く前は、哲学の教授を務めていた。ワシントン大司教区のカトリック情報センターの副所長も務めていたことがある[4]。マーシャルは、オンラインのカトリック神学教育プログラムである New Saint Thomas Institute および、カトリックのボーイスカウト団体である Troops of Saint Georgeの創設者でもある[12][13]。

マーシャルは、アメリカ合衆国を弱体化させようと活動しているディープステートについて警告するヴィガノ大司教の書簡を広めたことで、ドナルド・トランプの2020年米国大統領選挙キャンペーンで一時的に注目を集めた [17]。トランプ陣営も注目しており、大統領のツイッターアカウントでもこの件がリツイートされた [24]。聖伝主義カトリックのライターの Matthew Walther は、マーシャルの当時のトランプ大統領に対する擁護および、教皇フランシスコに対する主張をともに批判した。Walter はまた、マーシャルがカトリック教徒を怒らせるために教皇についての「（事実を）歪曲したり、単に嘘をついた」としてマーシャルを非難した[25]。

マーシャルは妻の Joy McPherson とは1999年に出会った。 2001年6月9日にテキサス州フォートワースの Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church（英語版） にて結婚し、8人の子供がいる[26]。 マーシャルおよび家族は聖公会よりカトリックに改宗し、2006年5月に Kevin Vann（英語版） 司教より堅信を受けた[27][28]。
