メシア思想

メシア思想（メシアしそう、Messianism）とは、救世主の出現を信じる思想[1][2]。

解説

ゾロアスター教の信仰として始まり、アブラハムの宗教に引き継がれ[3] 、他の宗教にもメシア思想が存在する。 救世主の概念を持つ宗教には、ヒンドゥー教（カルキ）、ユダヤ教（マシヤフ）、キリスト教（キリスト）、イスラム教（マフディーとイサ・マシフ）、ドゥルーズ派（ハムザ・イブン・アリー）[4] [5]、 ゾロアスター教（サオシュヤント）、仏教（マイトレーヤ）、道教（李洪）、バーブ教（神の顕現者）などがある。


ユダヤ教では、救世主はダビデの血統を受け継ぐ将来のユダヤの王で、ユダヤ民族と人類の救世主[1][6]。キリスト教では、イエスは[注 1]救世主であり、神である[1] [3]。 イスラム教では、イエスは預言者で、終末の時に再臨するユダヤ民族の救世主[3]。
