ピーター・テイラー (地理学者)

ピーター・テイラー（Peter James Taylor, 1944年 11月22日 - ）は、イギリスの地理学者^[1]。専門は、政治地理学^[1]。

来歴編集

1970年代は、選挙地理学（英語版）の研究を行っていた^[1]。

1980年代になると、世界システム論を政治地理学に導入した^[1]。テーラーによる、世界システム論をベースとした政治地理学の研究は「新しい地政学」の実証研究の一例として挙げられる^[2]。雑誌 Political Geography の創刊者。

また、世界都市システム研究をリードしたGaWC（英語版）の中心的なメンバーを務めてきた^[3]。
