阿部宗明
阿部 宗明（あべ ときはる、1911年4月3日 - 1996年8月9日）は、日本の魚類学者。とりわけ東アジアのフグの分類に関する業績を残している。1949年にフグ科の属としてトラフグ属を提案している。この他、数々の新種を発見し、また、献名も多く受けている。『日本産魚類図説』の編纂に第49巻より携わる。

東京生まれ。東京帝国大学に入学し田中茂穂に師事する。1940年、東京帝国大学理学部大学院修了。1947年、農林省（現農林水産省）水産試験場（現独立行政法人水産総合研究センター）勤務。1981年、おさかな普及センター資料館館長[1]。アメリカ魚類両生爬虫類学会 (American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists) の外国人名誉会員にも選ばれている。
学名への影響 編集
ハダカカスミザメ（Centroscyllium kamoharai, 1966）、メフグ（Fugu obscurus, 1949, or Takifugu obscurus）などを命名する。トラフグ属（Takifugu, 1949）も阿部の提案である。
また、献名も多く受けており、ハナメイワシ（Sagamichthys abei Parr, 1953、阿部は発見者）、ミドリフサアンコウ（Chaunax abei Le Danois, 1978） 、Tetraodon abei Roberts, 1998（フグ科テトラオドン属 (Tetraodon) の一種）などの学名に名が入っている。
